Welcome to Madder and Moss
I suppose this all started a long time ago — in my mum’s sewing room, and in her garden. She taught me how to thread a needle, how to grow tomatoes, and how to find joy in making things from scratch. At one point she even started making bags, and I remember being quietly fascinated by how flat fabric became something three-dimensional and useful.
Madder & Moss is a continuation of that — a love of making, of fabric and colour, of nature and transformation. It’s just me here, working slowly and instinctively. I find fabrics in charity shops or from deadstock suppliers, hand-dye silks using plants and flower bundles, and stitch everything one at a time. Nothing is perfect. Nothing is meant to be.
This isn’t a brand with a big plan. It’s a quiet practice — of using what already exists, making what feels right, and sharing things that I’ve put care into. If you’ve found your way here, welcome. I’m glad you’re here.
